Rated 2 out of 5 by M.Louis from Bowl made of thick glass yet breaks easily The KitchenAid brand is of a high caliber but this bowl is not up to their standard. I would like to order one to replace my broken bowl but it is out of stock AND it costs $270 CAD!!! I can buy a new Cuisinart stand mixer for much less than that at Costco.

Rated 2 out of 5 by KateH from Beaters don't fit with glass bowl I just received mine a few days ago. I'm learning that is such a complicated, and disorganized process to order parts to the mixer(s). I was surprised initially, that the bowls aren't interchangeable. But then found the 6 quart glass bowl as an alternative and spare to the stainless 6 quart bowl that came with my mixer. Now I'm realizing that the the beaters don't fit with the glass bowl, as the bowl is thicker. Would have made sense to mention that. I've been trying to call customer service since then, and I keep getting cut off. The message says that they're open till 8 pm EST but I've called at several times between 3 pm and 5 pm and I'm told I'm not calling during their open hours. I'm told that I have 30 days to decide if I want to return and have to call for instructions on how to return. Will I be a able to reach someone before I run out of time?

Aweful design the rubber on the sides has ripped apart. 5 hand washes in and the top of the bowl is chipping away. Can no longer use it because I'm afraid of someone eating glass. I used this machine everyday to help others and now it just sits there. I miss using my machine. I wish it had come with a metal bowl instead. The store I bought it from says I'll need all new attachments if I switch bowls but I don't want another glass bowl. I really just want to use my mixer that I love.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jlp2019 from Broken bowl, just like everyone else Just like all the other reviews, I have a bowl that broke while trying to remove it and I'm realizing now why I'm having a hard time finding a replacement. And a few sites that I've found are showing prices of $250!! Just for the bowl! That will no doubt break again. Save yourself from the inevitable and only buy a mixer with a stainless steel bowl.
