Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Very misleading- Not dishwasher safe I purchased an additional attachment set after my enamel coated attachments started chipping, and after the first wash in the dishwasher it was evident this was not stainless steel. There’s now a black powder that is impossible to scrub off and I can no longer use it or the others. It’s really disappointing to see such low quality products as anything else I’ve purchased from Kitchenaid have lasted me many years. Do better Kitchenaid, from these reviews it seems like I’m not the only one with this problem.

It’s sad cause I bought this mixer thinking it would be good and I needed the dough kneading hook. Can someone tell me where to get a new hook that would hopefully not tarnish?

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Awful If I could rate this product a zero I would. Used this dough hook for the first time during Covid. Left grey metallic residue in bread dough, making food inedible. I have never washed this product in the dishwasher. Contacted customer service said “It sounds like they have oxidized. The residue is not toxic but we understand it is not pretty. You can address this in one of two ways. You can clean your current beaters with a product called Bar Keepers Friend and that will remove the oxidation and allow the beaters to be used but this will have to done before every use. The other option is to completely replace the affected beaters.” Purchasing new beaters that will oxidize or using Bar Keepers Friend each time you want to bake are not effective solutions. This is an expensive machine that has corrosive defective beaters.
