It’s awesome you measure it all out then into the sifter , it has the Shute that pours it directly in the bowl .. I absolutely love it. It makes life so much easier. It beats that old hand sifter big time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LEB2 from Great addition to the standing mixer Have used the scale and sifter attachment several times and really like using it. No more using the handheld sifter and getting flour everywhere on the counter. The only challenge with using this attachment is to determine the conversion of volume of flour (for e.g.) in a recipe to weight of flour that is equivalent as the scale is obviously by weight. The conversion chart provided by KA is a good start, but I have done my own measurements for the conversion for the specific flour that I use and go by that now. Depending on the recipe, it liquid ingredients are already in the mixer bowl, I direct the sifting flour into a separate bowl rather than the mixer bowl as adding the flour to the liquid ingredients as it sifts means that the batter over-mixes - using a separate bowl to accept the sifted flour and then adding that to the liquid ingredients in the mixer bowl in a block rather than gradually from the sifter attachment works well. If no liquid ingredients in the mixer bowl, then I direct that sifting flour into the mixer bowl.
