I don't normally get excited over an appliance but this one turned out to be better than expected. There are 4 speeds for the exhaust fan and it does exhaust well. There are 2 settings for the stove top lights, full brightness and a dimmer night light level. I'm very impressed with how the door opens. Most microwaves make you pull a handle or push a button to release the spring loaded catch for the door. With this one, you just touch the "open" button and the door opens electronically. It gives you a nice little message when the cooking cycle is done and you open the door. Having the 30 second cycle button on the outside is very convenient. I use it a lot to warm up my coffee. The keypad is touch sensitive and it is truly sensative and I mean that in a good way. My one knock about this product is the keypad. At night, it's just about impossible to see. It would be really nice if the keypad were backlit. KitchenAid, if you're reading this, add the backlighting and this is a no compromise product. Of course it does all the things a microwave should. I'm particularly happy with this purchase and I highly recommend this product.
