Air Fry Mode

Uses dual heating elements and a fan to circulate hot air around the included air fry basket, crisping and browning food with less oil* and no need to preheat.

Dishwasher Safe Air-Fry Basket

Allows air to circulate around food as it cooks.

Convection Cooking Modes

For bake and roast use a 1600-watt convection element to reach temperatures up to 450°F, giving this microwave the ability to convect cook everything from small-batch bakes to a whole roast chicken.

Grill Mode

Uses the included basket and a 1500-watt grill element in the top of the microwave to sear meats, broil veggies and more

Sensor functions

Automatically adjust the time needed to cook, reheat or defrost your food, removing the guesswork about power levels or cooking times.

Cookshield Finish

Makes it easy to wipe the interior of the microwave clean with a soft, damp cloth.

Really appreciated the followup email from KitchenAid after product registration to go over all of the functions. I wish there was a recipe collection to try as well, but maybe I just haven’t found it yet. Air Dryer seems to take longer to cook than recipes I found on online. Still experimenting.

There is a couple of items that could be changed. The lights are dim and there is no way to change from Imperial to Metric. Always have to convert from kilgrams to pounds by calculator. No big deal. Very easy to keep clean.

The manual setting gives me the liberty to adjust cooking time and temperature for the best results. I must say that a cook book or video on how to use every feature would be amazing for someone to get to know the microwave.
