Just the two of us live in a small condo with galley-style kitchen and we needed a refrigerator of counter-depth, sleek (no handles) French door, print-shield stainless steel giving a muted finish. We particularly like its interior design, shelf and drawer layout, and LED lighting. Having French doors on the lower half for the large freezer area is a positive with sectional drawers having clear fronts. The easy to use temperature controls are discretely placed on the outside door panel and illuminate upon opening the doors then extinguish when closed, becoming virtually invisible. It’s very sleek, very modern, Kitchenaid hit the bullseye with this model.

I bought this fridge a month ago, and two weeks prior I was doing research on which fridge to buy, which brand, side-by-side, french door, bottom mount. You name it, I had researched it. I decided to go in-person to an appliance store and had my heart set on a counter-depth, french door with bottom mount freezer drawer. I opened, closed, pulled knobs, felt the thickness (or thinness) of the plastic drawers. Looked at the workmanship. Let’s just say, I had settled on another fridge but, as the sales rep was working on the quote, I saw this KitchenAid fridge. I went over and examined it, it was the one! Here’s why: it works perfectly in my kitchen L-shaped layout. The interior is well made, the finishings are beautiful. The plastic used is very thick, the drawers had knobs and pulled out seamlessly and effortlessly. There’s a slide-out shelf which works wonderfully well. This fridge is so well organized that it makes me more organized. The freezer section is so well done that I am no longer scrambling around looking for things. The fridge keeps things fresher, I tested it with fresh broccoli which remained fresh for two weeks! There’s a light inside both fridge and freezer sections, you may not think it’s important but it is when you’re trying to look for something or when you didn’t have it in your old fridge. I had not intended to buy a 4-door refrigerator, it wasn’t even on my radar, but I am so happy I did. When it was shipped, it was so well packaged, it took me a good 45-mins to unwrap it, each shelf, drawer, knob was wrapped. My sister looked at it and said she really loved my fridge and she would buy one just like it but it didn’t come in white, it comes only in brushed metal finish which I love!
